Sai Upadhyayula, Pharm.D., J.D.

Dr. Saikrishna (Sai) Upadhyayula, Pharm.D., R.Ph., J.D., Esq., received his Bachelor of Arts with Honors from Pitzer College, followed by a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the USC Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Order of Arete, and a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of California, Irvine School of Law. Dr. Upadhyayula is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

As a pharmacist, Dr. Upadhyayula has been involved with administrative and legislative advocacy on both local and national levels. Dr. Upadhyayula has also served as a course coordinator and instructor of Pharmacy Law at USC Mann, for which he was recognized as Professor of the Year by the Class of 2024. In the law, Dr. Upadhyayula developed an active practice serving clients in the areas of health care law, intellectual property law, and life science innovations.
 
Prior to joining the CPL Law Firm, Dr. Upadhyayula worked as outside counsel at a large business and technology law firm to support life sciences companies of every size with issues related to technology licensing, business-legal strategy, and regulatory concerns. Additionally, Dr. Upadhyayula has received significant recognition for his pro bono legal work, including on behalf of asylum seekers and survivors of domestic violence. Dr. Upadhyayula is a registered pharmacist and a member of the California bar.
